Welcome to Instructor Appreciation Week! We are dedicating this first week of 2022 to our instructors and we hope through this series, our students would get to know their instructors beyond the classroom. Today we have Ms. Sasha, our General English and Spanish instructor, talking about her hopes for 2022, her favorite book and more!
How would you describe your experience teaching the students at Binawan Training Center so far?
I wouldn’t lie saying that teaching at Binawan Training Center is one of the best teaching experiences I’ve ever gotten. The class arrangement, helpful colleagues, and friendly students contributed a lot to my work. I know that speaking English is quite challenging for some of them, but it melts my heart seeing them learning, doing their best and eventually succeeding. I was lucky to teach two wonderful groups last semester and hope to see every single student next year.
Could you tell us a little about where you live? And what do you do for fun?
I was moving a lot changing cities and countries, my current location is St. Petersburg, which is known as a historical and cultural capital of Russia. I absolutely adore the city and spend a lot of time exploring it. Also, I do yoga and snowboarding.
What is your all time favorite book? And why it’s your favorite book?
I won’t be original, my number one series of books are the ones about Harry Potter. I grew up with the characters and they are a big part of my life.
What are you hoping for in 2022?
My focus is on personal and professional development, so I plan to pass few international exams and find my perfect work-life balance in the upcoming year.
What was your favorite food growing up?
The food I can never say no to is spaghetti. I used to like it since childhood and now the best thing that can cheer me up is a bowl of noodles or pasta.
